What Is Audio Mist™?
Audio Mist™ is an ultra-directional, speakerless audio technology that delivers sound through the air with no need to place anything in or over your ears.
Instead of traditional sound waves from a speaker, Audio Mist™ uses ultrasonic transducers and custom-designed waveguides to project focused beams of sound toward your ears, forming a personal sound zone only you can hear.
The science behind It: Sound you can’t see
At the core of Audio Mist™ is beamforming — the same concept used in advanced radar and smart speakers, but adapted for ultrasonic sound.
Here’s how it works:
Ultrasonic Carrier Waves
We start by generating ultrasonic frequencies (well above human hearing).
Modulation with Audio Signal
We then modulate those ultrasonic waves with the audio you want to hear — your music, a voice command, or a notification tone.
Self-Demodulation in Air
As these ultrasonic waves move through the air, they demodulate naturally, converting into audible sound just before reaching your ears. This process is called nonlinear acoustic demodulation.
Directional Delivery
Because the ultrasonic beam is extremely narrow, the sound is only audible within a specific path — effectively creating a private audio zone.
