ePhone Privacy Policy
Your phone can contain some of your most personal information. Our privacy approach starts with a simple principle: ePhone should use information only as needed to provide the experiences you choose to use, subject to the disclosures and controls described below.
This draft describes the intended privacy framework for ePhone-related websites, products and services operated by eFind, LLC. Because ePhone is still in development, product-specific data practices may change before launch. This policy must be updated to match the final architecture and reviewed by counsel before publication as a binding policy.
1. Information you provide
Depending on the service, you may provide account information, contact details, communications with support, payment or transaction information, preferences and content you choose to store or process.
2. eFind ONE
eFind ONE is eFind's centralized identity, account and single sign-on layer. Where ePhone uses eFind ONE, account and authentication information may be used to sign you in, protect your account, synchronize permitted settings and connect supported eFind services.
3. Device and diagnostic information
ePhone may process device model, software version, identifiers needed to operate services, network information, security events, crash information and diagnostics. Final collection settings, retention periods and opt-out controls will be documented before launch.
4. eIntelligence and AI
eIntelligence features may process prompts, context and information from sources you choose to connect. We intend to distinguish on-device processing from server or third-party processing and provide controls for sensitive sources. Private Memory is intended to be permissioned rather than an assumption of unrestricted access.
5. Photos, camera, microphone and files
Access to photos, camera, microphone, files and similar sources should be controlled by product permissions. Some features may require processing content to provide the function you request. The final product will disclose where processing occurs and what choices are available.
6. Calls, messages and communications
Features such as eCall, messaging assistance, spam protection or communication search may require access to relevant metadata or content. eFind will document the exact categories, purposes and controls before those features are made available.
7. Location
Location may be used for features you choose, such as navigation, device finding, local search, emergency functionality or location-aware assistance. Location permissions and background access should be controllable through eOS.
8. How information is used
Information may be used to provide requested services, authenticate users, maintain and secure systems, troubleshoot, improve products, comply with law and communicate about services. Any advertising-related use applicable to ePhone will be disclosed specifically rather than assumed from other eFind services.
9. Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared with service providers acting on eFind's behalf, with connected services you direct us to use, in corporate transactions, or where required or permitted by law. We do not intend this statement to expand access beyond what is necessary for the relevant purpose.
10. Security
eFind intends to use technical, administrative and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service involved. No system can guarantee absolute security. Product-specific encryption, secure-hardware and authentication claims will be documented once validated.
11. Retention
Retention should reflect the purpose for which information is processed, user choices, security needs and legal obligations. Final retention schedules will be documented for production services.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive or object to certain processing of personal information. eFind will provide applicable request mechanisms and identity-verification procedures.
13. Children
Age requirements and any family or child-account features will be documented before launch. eFind will not represent ePhone as a child-directed service without implementing the controls and notices required for that use.
14. International data
Where information is transferred across borders, eFind will use applicable legal mechanisms and safeguards. The final policy will identify relevant entities and transfer frameworks in effect at launch.
15. California and other U.S. state rights
Residents of California and other states may have additional privacy rights depending on applicable law and eFind's processing activities. The final notice will describe applicable categories, purposes, disclosures and request rights.
16. EEA, UK and Switzerland
Where applicable, the final notice will describe controllers, lawful bases, rights, international transfers and supervisory-authority information for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
17. Changes
We may update this policy as products, laws and practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
