Designed for more ways of seeing, hearing, moving and communicating.
Accessibility is a product requirement, not a finishing feature. ePhone is still in development, so this page describes design directions rather than a final feature list.
Vision
Magnification, contrast, text scaling, spoken content, voice interaction and tactile alternatives are core directions.
Hearing
Captioning, visual signals, vibration and configurable eLine patterns can provide alternatives to sound.
Mobility
Voice, contextual edge controls, switch-friendly navigation and reduced precision requirements are design considerations.
Cognitive
Present Mode, simplified information, predictable interaction states and reduced interruption can lower cognitive load.
Speech
Text-based communication, assisted input and alternative interaction methods are part of the accessibility direction.
eLine + haptics
Important information should not depend on one sense. Light, haptics, sound and screen content can reinforce one another.
